Bamboo candles from Island Soap and Candle Works are a unique and authentic creation from the Hawaiian Islands that provide many hours of enjoyment. The natural design is a simple and exquisite expression of art and traditional craft.
Types of Bamboo Candles
Our bamboo candle design is very popular. The naturally occurring hollowed bamboo shell forms a bamboo candleholder encasing a genuine beeswax/paraffin candle. It appears as if it was taken directly from the Hawaiian landscape. The wax in each variety of fragrance is a different color and is naturally scented with a tropical fragrance reminiscent of our soaps. The pineapple bamboo candle, a rich yellow, is a reminder of the Hawaiian aloha that we put into every product. There is also a pink Plumeria candle, a peachy colored Passion Fruit and even a deep pastel blue candle with a scent we call Rain.
We also make a Bamboo Slant Candle, with the rounded bamboo shell raised higher on one side of the candle. The subtle variation highlights the candle with a more formal elegance than the casual bamboo candle. The slant style bamboo candle comes in the Rain scent, White Ginger and Pikake—named after an Asian flower of the jasmine family.
The wicks of our bamboo candles come long and are naturally safe. They are made with either a zinc core or a tightly wrapped paper core—with no lead. Trim the wicks to approximately ½” before lighting each time and the candles will burn up to 30 hours in a draft free environment. Customers comment on how long and evenly they burn.
