2003 Kauai Vacation Trip Winner

Island Soap & Candle Works was pleased to announce the winner of our Tell-A-Friend free trip to Kauai contest for the year 2002.  Our winner was Jessica Sawyer from Chico, California.

On Being Notified

My husband called me at work & told me I had just won a trip to Kauai. I said, "What trip"? He said, " The Island Soap & Candle Works contest you entered". He said he had just received a call from a real nice gentleman named Jim, the manager of Island Soap & Candle Works, saying Jessica had won the trip to Kauai. I was shocked! I have to say I had forgotten all about it. I have never won anything in my life & I really thought he was joking.

I had originally entered the contest when my husband kept asking me to order some lotion for him. My husband had been wanting me to get him some lotion he had used while visiting my grandparents. My Grandmother had a large bottle of the Hawaiian Botanical Hand & Body Lotion she bought when my grandparents had visited Hawaii a few years ago. I found the internet address on the bottle & ordered some lotion along with some candles & soaps. All of which have been wonderful.

I am so excited about winning this trip. I have been very fortunate to have visited Hawaii twice both times in Maui thanks to my wonderful grandparents. We loved Maui & have talked about visiting Kauai many times as we have heard it is absolutely beautiful. Its hard to believe I actually won a trip to Kauai. Thank you so much!!!
